ACTIVE INGREDIENTS: Kapok buds are high in ‘Flavonoids ‘and ‘Phenols’.
PRIMARY USE: The principle use of Kapok Buds is to make a specialty masala powder used in a South Indian rice dish with lentils called ‘Bisibele Bhat’. That apart Kapok buds can be used to flavor soups, stews, curries, etc. The buds are typically dry roasted before being ground or added whole to dishes, enhancing the spice profile of curries and gravies.
